Our instructors provide individual and group instruction. They encourage every child to have fun, develop life long music and dance skills, and reach their full potential. Unlike your typical dance studio, our instructors offer individual attention to each member to help them develop their musicianship, singing and dancing skills.
Director of Choreography – Dr. Juraj Adamik
Juraj Adamik, native of Bratislava, Slovakia, has been involved in studying various forms of dancing and performing arts since young age, and competed in world championships where he won first place in tap dance and folk dance. While pursuing an undergraduate degree Juraj traveled and performed with the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. In addition to performing, Juraj has choreographed several dances for various dance ensembles as well as the Duquesne Tamburitzans.
Juraj recently obtained a doctorate degree in biological sciences, and currently has a position as a post-doctorate associate at the University of Pittsburgh Hillman Cancer Center.
Director of Instrumental Music —Ms. Mary Magdic
Mary Magdic began performing tamburitzan music and dance at the age of 6 with the Trafford Junior Tamburitzans. She enjoyed 12 years with the group. She also began studying the violin at the age of 8. She later went on to Slippery Rock University to pursue a B.S. in Music Education. Mary currently performs with Sveti Marija Adult Tamburitza Orchestra and has annually performed with the Croatians at the Pittsburgh Folk Festival.
Mary currently teaches elementary general music, strings, and choir in the Hampton Township School District.
